Absolutely! If you're looking to move to, or within NYC, we can help! Reach out to us and we can tailor services to what you need. The services outlined on our website are the standard offerings but we have also helped with negotiations, guarantors, movers, document arrangement, and utility set up, just to name a few.
No and that is the whole point! We are impartial, non-biased, and here to help with no financial ulterior motives tied to the apartment you want. This being said, as you tour apartments, a broker might have a listing that is not currently listed on the market. However, with TAHNYC by your side, you will have an advocate in your corner, making sure the process goes smoothly from tour to move in.
Good question! If you're new to NYC, you are about to experience the most volatile real estate rental market in the country. If you've lived here before, you have most likely experienced just how chaotic this market can be. In all likelihood, you will wind up spending more time and money searching whereas we can take care of it for you. Also, there is a high chance that you may wind up paying thousands in fees or overpaying for an apartment and/or its features (trust us, we've been there). Ultimately, you will still need to work with a broker or management company to tour and sign a lease but let us handle the stress of the hunt so you don't have to!
We care. Simple as that. We aren't in it for the commission off your apartment. We aren't in it to profit off of your monthly rent. We don't want you to wind up in a bedbug infested building or with a landlord who refuses to repair items that are broken. We've been there. We've seen enough of it and we want you to be happy in the home that you choose. It's a comprehensive approach, learned by doing, and now we are ready to help others. We want to work for and with you.
In short, no. Those softwares are good if you have an open mind and are willing to parse through potential fake listings or artificial prices and disingenuous locations. A robot can't do what a human can. Our goal is to understand you, your needs, and wants.
We charge by service, not by hours or person/head. What makes our service different is that the fee is flat. Your apartment can rent for $1,500 or $15,000, you can have no roommates or four, it doesn't matter. The cost is based on a single apartment hunt.
It is different for everyone! We first hop on a call and discuss what you're looking for. Based off of that information, we create a customized plan to help you find what you need. This includes working in the best methods for you, such as a collaborative Google sheet/doc, shared notes, and/or email. In order to streamline the process, we will strategize from the get-go to make sure the process is as seamless as possible.
